Planning a project

Five things to bring to your first project conversation.

You do not need a finished brief to talk with an architect. A few simple pieces of information can make the first conversation much more useful.

Five things to bring to your first project conversation.

01 / The place

Bring an address or a general location. If you have a survey, existing drawings, listing information, or photographs, they can help us understand the starting point.

02 / The change you want

Describe what is not working and what you hope the project will make possible. Daily routines, relationships between rooms, and the way you want to feel often tell us more than a list of finishes.

03 / Your priorities

Separate the essential outcomes from the things you would like to explore. This helps the design develop around what matters most to you.

04 / The investment

Share a working range and what it needs to cover: construction, design, consultants, furnishings, site work, and contingency. It is fine if the range is still developing. Clarifying its meaning is part of the discussion.

05 / The timing

Tell us about important dates and what is driving them. A move, a lease, or a business opening can shape the sequence of decisions. We can then discuss a realistic next step.

Let’s begin

Your next chapter
starts with a conversation.

A new home, a thoughtful renovation, a place for your business. Tell us what you have in mind.
